Check Your IT return status, Refund Status, Income Tax Return Processing Status and status

of IT refund dispatched by post

Income Tax department has provided the facility to the Assessee / tax Payer to check status of IT return status

filed online on its Income tax e-filing website. To help, assessee can also check status of Income Tax

Refund of return filed by the Assessee (Manual and Online) and Assessee can also track online the status of

Income Tax Refund dispatched by department through speed post.

Taxpayers can check their IT return processing status for AY 2014-15 in ‘My Account’ ->’Efiling Processing

Status’-> select ‘AY 2014-15′.

Step 1: Login to E-filing website: incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to check if your return for AY 2014-15 has been

processed

Step 2: Go to “My Account” -> select “E-Filing Processing Status”

Step 3: Enter Assessment Year -> 2011-12 and click on ‘Submit’

Step 4: View Processing of IT return Status for your return. In case of Income Tax refund, follow Step 5 to

check income tax Refund status. In case or No tax Demand, No tax refund or Demand and Intimation from

CPC Bangalore

Step 5: To view Refund Status go to Tax Information Network (TIN) portal:

https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refundstatuslogin.html and enter PAN and Assessment Year and click ‘Submit’

Step 6: View refund Status. In case status is ‘dispatched by speed post’ -> track speed post by clicking on the

hyperlinked Speed Post Ref. no: starting with “EY…” In case ‘Mode of Payment’ is ‘ECS’ then check your Bank

Account for Direct Deposit.

Step 7: or go to Indian Postal portal at http://services.ptcmysore.gov.in/speednettracking/. Enter ‘Speed Post

Ref. no’ in ‘Article Number’ and ‘Date’ in ‘Date of booking’ and click on ‘Track’

Step 8: View Status of Speed Post-delivery -> click on ‘Movement’ to view tracking of article (see highlighted

box below).

Step 9: it return status or refund may be verified for correctness and in case of any error; the same may be

brought to the notice of CPC, Bangalore. Intimation sheet will be mailed by Speed Post from CPC Bangalore.
