How the Church got started
Church began after the Resurrection of Jesus• Convinced the
disciples that Jesus was the Messiah
• This was the ultimate proof of Jesus’ divinity
Before He died Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to help the Apostles witness their faith to others.
Church was made known to the world
Holy Spirit united the Christian in Jerusalem
New Christians They were one in;
• Belief in Jesus• His teachings• In the Eucharist• In prayer• In love for each
other
Solidarity United as One
• We are brothers and sisters b/c God created us.
• We need to care for each other
• Sharing spiritual and material goods
• We all live in an interdependent world
• Unites rich and poor, weak and strong
