We began filming today; originally we planned on filming with all three of our
cast however Tobi was unable to make it due to the fact that she was going to
change her hair. We didnt want to film her with two different hairstyles as thiswould break the continuity rule. We filmed in the afternoon with the rest of our
cast, we mainly focused on the exterior scenes, and as I was still familiarising
myself with the equipment it took a while for me to set up and get used to the
camera. We came across minor issues such as moving cars and people walking
by, this caused us to move around and it wasted some time. Overall we got all the
shots we needed for the day and we finished filming before it got dark. After
watching the tape back we realised there were a few errors such as too much
headroom and not enough shots. We discussed all this and decided that we need
to film most of the scenes again.

We planned to film on this day, however the same two people in our cast let us
down once again so we decided to play the roles ourselves because we werent
prepared to risk being behind on our work. We took the camera out and we
filmed some exterior scenes and most of the interior scenes, when we began
filming we had a few difficulties such as the lighting in the room, this was
because the sun was directly on the camera lens causing the cast to look dark.
We immediately solved this problem by changing the positions of the characters
and using the curtains to block out the backlight. We changed some parts of our
story as we felt that it was more effective and Im very pleased with the work
we managed to get done.

Today was the final day of filming. We mainly focused on re-filming some of the
interior scenes as we werent entirely satisfied with the shots we originally
took. We used the time we had very wisely and we were able to get through all
the things that needed to be done fairly easily. We made sure we had enough
varied shots to play around with in the editing suite. We looked over the list of
things we needed to do and made sure we had done everything on the list. In
conclusion we have gone through a lot of things during filming and it has made
us more confident in using the camera equipment and has given us a better
understanding of what filming entails. This filming experience has taught me to
use time efficiently and not to waste it. We have learnt to rely on each other as a
group, weve worked hard and hopefully all the effort we put into filming will
show in the end product.
