A Special Session on “Smart Cities:Transforming Life - Transforming The World” will be organized in IEEE EEEIC and I&CPS Europe 2017 Conference, Milan, Italy.
Brief description of the special session content (100-150 words):As the global population continues to grow at an exponential pace, more and more people are moving towards cities. Cities are accordingly referred to as the engines of economic growth. The smart cities should be able to provide good infrastructure such as water, sanitation, reliable utility services, health care; attract investments; transparent processes that make it easy to run a commercial activities to make citizens feel safe and happy. Energy Management and smart metering are the key building blocks of the Smart City and Communication play a key role in making Smart City concepts a reality.
