EDWARDHOPPERHOUSEARTCENTERwelcomesapplicantstoits23rdannualSmallMattersofGreatImportancejuriedexhibition,heldintwogalleryroomsofEdwardHopper’sbirthplaceandfamilyhome,nowanon-profitartcenterandmuseum.Theexhibitioncelebratessmallworksthatmakebigstatementsdespitetheirsize.THEME:Thethemeforthisyear’sshowispaper. Allworksubmittedmustusepaperasaprimarymediumorsupport,includingworksonpaper,artistbooks,collage,origami,papersculpture,orcutpaper.

JUROR:MichelleDonnelly,CuratorialFellowattheWhitneyMuseumofAmericanArt,NewYork.MichellemanagestheSondraGilmanStudyCenter,whichhousesthemajorityofthemuseum’scollectionof18,000worksonpaper,andassistsonpermanentcollectionandloanexhibitions.PriortojoiningtheWhitney,sheheldcuratorialpositionsatthePennsylvaniaAcademyoftheFineArts,theMorganLibrary&Museum,SolomonR.GuggenheimMuseum,BrooklynMuseum,andHeckscherMuseumofArt.ShereceivedanMAinArtHistoryfromtheUniversityofPennsylvaniaandaBAwithhonorsinArtHistoryfromVassarCollege.
