• From the user point of view (catalogers) :– A collective cataloging tool – XMetal, a fairly-known EAD editor– Dynamic help for editing

• About the data :– Data must remain in EAD– Huge EAD files :

• 4 Mb for some of them• Many components by level

• A shared database• Each library has its own working space• A web application as an Internet Explorer plugin
