Designer Specifications Manufacturer
All busduct must be manufactured by Total Power Box
Solution, Inc.
Manufactured Units
A. General
1. A complete low impedance prefabricated busduct distribution
system shall be furnished and installed as indicated in the client’s
electrical plans and specifications.
2. Busduct system shall be up to 1000VAC, 60Hz, capable of supplying
1-phase, 2-wire/1-phase, 3-wire/3-phase, 3-wire/3-phase, 4wire with
integral ground bus.
3. The ampere rating, approximate numbers of lengths for straight runs,
number of fitting, plug-in units are to be furnished in the client’s
request for quotation. The electrical contractor shall be responsible
for routing the busduct to coordinate with the other trades. Final field
measurements shall be prepared and confirmed by the contractor
before manufacturing.
B. Test
1. The busduct system must be fully tested by a qualified test engineer
in a busduct testing facility. All busduct and its relative components
shall pass quality control in different stages and it shall be verified
and checked by a qualified Quality Control Engineer in accordance
with acceptable Quality Management System.
2. All busduct and accessories should be designed, manufactured, and
fully tested in compliance with the following standards.
IEC61439-1 and IEC61439-6.

3. Selected verification test is not acceptable. Manufacturer must
comply with all of the test above by providing certification of the
various tests.

Designer Specifications Basic Construction
A. Housing
1. The top and bottom housing must be aluminum sheet. The earthing
conductor is formed to serve as the top and bottom cover of the
busduct enclosure. Heat dissipaters shall be included to the busduct
external housing for better performance and lower operating
temperature.
2. The multi-bended profile sidings shall be fabricated from 100%
galvanized steel sheets.
B. Power Joint
1. Power Joint comes standard in the Busduct System
serving as reliable couplers. Designed for all ratings and equipped
with protective covers for improved performance and to ensure
compliance to different degrees of ingress protection.
2. Power Joint must be factory-fitted to one busduct end, and shall
allow easy installation and removal during maintenance.
3. Visual inspection can be carried out by removing the protective cover
without the need of de-energizing the busduct.
4. Direct jointing, ensures maximum electrical contact between busbars
for reliable and better conductivity, thus minimizing power loss and
hot-spot.
5. A leaf spring is provided to provide a uniform clamping force on all
bolted connection.
6. A maintenance-free lock nut is provided where the outer head will
come off upon reaching the appropriate tightening torque.
C. Busbars: Copper or Aluminum
1. Copper busbars must be tin-plated and rated from 1000 Amperes to
6300 Amperes.
2. Copper conductor must be 99.9% ETP Grade.

3. Aluminum conductor must be aluminum alloy rated from 800
Amperes to 6300 Amperes.
4. Aluminum conductor must be Electrical Grade.
5. Each busbar must be fully insulated with two layers of polyester film
made from polyethylene terephthalate.
D. Plug-in Outlets
1. Straight lengths are provided a maximum of 4 molded plug-in
outlets, more than the standard quantity of molded plug-in outlets
can also be arranged upon requests.
2. Molded plug-in outlets must be made from high-impact and fire-
resistant moulding compound capable of with-standing high
electromagnetic forces exerted by the busduct during short circuit
condition.
3. The plug-in outlet must be covered by a swing cover. The cover must
be designed to prevent entry of dust, insects and moisture into the
busduct enclosure.
E. Plug-in Units
1. Plug-in units must be fitted in the plug-in outlets without requiring
special fixing tools.
2. Plug-in units must be rated from 16 Amperes up to 800 Amperes
using copper conductors.
F. Ingress Protection
1. Minimum ingress protection shall be IP42.
G. After Sales Service Support
1. The manufacturer of the busduct should have a reputable local after
sales service support group certified by the manufacturer and always
ready to respond 24/7 during emergency situation.
