• 1990 to 2010 has seen continued growth • Burnet County peaked in 2000• Early 1990s growth occurred away from the

lakes• Growth has occurred along lakes since 1997

• Building permit numbers indicate Burnet County unincorporated areas should increase by 130 dwellings in 2010

• Construction cost estimates indicate near $20 million in new construction for 2010

• Nearly 6 to 1 site built homes compared to manufactured homes (63 site built vs. 11 MH) with 6 commercial sites

Outlook for 2011

• There are have several developments in the planning stage (2 in precinct 4 and 1 in precinct 1)

• Multiple inquires on proposed home sites along the lakes

• Cautiously Optomistic!
