Dear Sir or Madam,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to our outstanding training program, the Global Business Transformation
Manager (GBTM) – Master Certification, being held from October, 29th to November, 9th in the historic city of
Potsdam, Germany.
The topic of business transformation has gained tremendous importance in an increasingly changing world.
In order to successfully cope with the challenges involved in leading a transformation the first GBTM –
Master Certification started as a pilot project in 2010. With the overwhelming feedback received, we are
excited to offer the GBTM – Master Certification now also for SAP customers: This year, BTA gives 25
management representatives of SAP customers worldwide the opportunity to join our training.
We are pleased to bring you together with leading experts and academics, from top European Business
Schools, to share knowledge and insights on how to maximize the value of your business transformation.
During the training program you will learn how to identify and resolve current and fundamental challenges,
which every Global Business Transformation Manager inevitably faces.
We look forward to having you join us in Potsdam at the GBTM – Master Certification in 2012.
Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Axel Uhl Head of Business Transformation Academy (BTA)

Global Business Transformation Manager (GBTM) Qualifying your Business Transformation Managers
Act as a DESIGNER
The GBTM develops and shapes a transformation strategy tailor-made for organizations. Any manager
interested in managing transformation, needs a vision that can excite and convert potential followers.
Whether it is developed by the transformation manager individually, or emerges from top management,
the GBTM must develop his ability to persuade others and convince them of the viability and necessity of
his strategy. The GBTM should have the capability to balance between strategic risks and potential
benefits for successful business transformation.
Act as an ADVISOR
Being a role model for successful leadership in transformation, the GBTM is a teacher as well as a
learner. However, the transformational manager must be a visible leader, who can motivate and rally
employees at all points in the process. Political skills come in handy here: The GBTM must inspire, listen,
respond, and inform, all the while displaying unswerving commitment in the face of setbacks or doubt.
True GBTMs are both people-oriented and able to inspire deep and sustained commitment to a goal.
Act as a LEADER
Managing transformation holistically and achieving expected benefits requires managers who nurture
their initiative and provide constant guidance. The GBTM manages the change and achieves the desired
results. Some GBTMs may inherently know the way forward for a particular project, while others must
explore various options for achieving the final goal. Both approaches must be able to demonstrate
progress along the path to the goal.
