Océ JetStream family A full range of highly productive color inkjet
printing systems
Designed to deliver brilliant color quality Océ DigiDot technology
uses drop-on-demand inkjet printheads to jet drops of ink only when
and where they’re needed. The extremely small drop sizes produced
by Océ DigiDot print heads enable higher quality images, smoother
halftones and stunning color with less ink and less waste.
Another key advantage of Océ DigiDot technology is the ability to
vary dot sizes, which enables users to create images with different
density ranges to optimize quality levels for individual jobs and
media types. Flexibility to vary dot sizes also enables multi-level
printing of photographs and halftones that require richer
grayscales, contour-free gradients and better reproduction of fine
details.
The smaller dot size requires a lower drying temperature that
consumes less energy and reduces paper distortion to deliver higher
quality output. The result? Exceptional quality in record time —
every time.
Ultra-high resolution Océ JetStream systems deliver top-quality
output with an industry-leading standard resolution of 600 × 600
dpi. This resolution sets a new benchmark for quality with a
maximum output speed of up to 492 feet per minute. It also sets the
Océ JetStream family apart for best-in-class color print
quality.

more than blazing speed. That’s why Océ JetStream systems are
engineered for heavy-duty throughput. Now, print operations can
reduce costs and maintenance time by using resources and floor
space more efficiently.
Engineered for reliability The system’s robust mechanical design is
based on a rock- solid chassis engineered to run for years. All
mechanical components are constructed of offset-press-quality
materials and designed for long life. Meanwhile, rugged Océ
JetStream programmable controls ensure robust performance and
simplify troubleshooting. What’s more, the robust print engine
supports future upgrades, ensuring investment protection.
Failsafe operation When printing high-speed, customer-sensitive
color documents, accuracy and document integrity are essential.
Designed for failsafe operation, Océ JetStream systems feature
patented, proven Océ duplex synchronization and data integrity
features, to ensure that each front page is matched with the
correct back page in a duplex application.
For added protection, Océ InkSafe® technology uses special RFID
tags to prevent operators from accidentally loading the wrong inks
or mixing colors.
Secure printing of sensitive documents Whether you’re an insurance
company printing claims checks, a direct marketer printing
promotional checks or a retailer
producing high-value coupons or gift certificates, Océ offers
advanced solutions for digitally printing secure documents with
near-offset quality, variable data and state-of-the-art embedded
security features.
Starting with a plain white roll of paper, Océ JetStream systems
can print colored base stocks and shells, embedded security
features, personalization and MICR lines in a single pass,
eliminating the high costs of printing and storing preprinted forms
on expensive security paper stock. By replacing a complex,
multi-step process with an on-demand, secure document process, you
can streamline your production environment. What’s more, you
eliminate the need for preprinted forms.
Three platforms. Eight highly productive color inkjet printer

requirements.
Océ JetStream models
Ideal for mid-volume requirements For print professionals looking
for big performance with a smaller footprint, Océ JetStream 500 and
1000 color inkjet systems offer the perfect fit. Designed to
deliver excellent quality at production speed, the Océ JetStream
500 and 1000 systems produce full-width simplex or full-width
duplex output at speeds from 246 feet per minute—or 535 letter
simplex to 1,070 duplex impressions per minute.
Each system comprises up to two print engines, each with up to six
print heads housed in a single cabinet to keep your footprint to an
absolute minimum. Providing cost-effective, low-risk entry into the
world of high-speed color, entry-level Océ JetStream 500 systems
feature a full 20.3” print width for two-up, simplex black &
white printing. The system is designed to expand effortlessly to
CMYK with additional inkjet print heads.
Designed for easy upgradeability and unrivaled investment
protection, the Océ JetStream 500 system can be upgraded to an Océ
JetStream 1000 system simply by adding a second print engine to the
print tower. The result is a full web-width duplex system with the
industry’s most compact footprint.
The Océ JetStream 1000 system offers the same powerful set of
features as the Océ JetStream 500 system. All systems can be
configured with one to six colors—CMYK plus MICR or an additional
spot color per side.
This unique mid-volume design provides unmatched flexibility with
easy expansion from black-only to full-color printing and from
simplex to full-width duplex printing. The result? Maximum
productivity and application flexibility.
Océ JetStream mid-volume systems
Workhorses built for grueling volumes For extremely demanding
requirements, the Océ JetStream high-volume platform includes four
configurations: single- or dual-tower models with speeds ranging
from 328 to 492 feet per minute. Every model is available in a
black-only version that can be easily and cost-effectively
field-upgraded to full CMYK color as your need for more color-rich
printing grows.
In addition, the Océ JetStream 1500 and 2200 MICR systems offer a
fully-integrated MICR capability, enabling you to produce
full-color and MICR documents in a single pass using one
integrated, high-speed, high-quality machine. The groundbreaking
Océ JetStream MICR systems expand on the basic four-color process,
adding a fifth row of print heads to the base engine.
The Océ JetStream high-volume platforms begins with the Océ
JetStream 750, producing 716 letter images per minute, two-up
simplex or one-up duplex. This makes the system ideal
if you’re ready to migrate from cutsheet to continuous feed inkjet
technology and gain the benefits of higher productivity with a
lower total cost of ownership.
The Océ JetStream 1100 system produces 1,074 letter images per
minute, in two-up simplex or one-up duplex mode. The Océ JetStream
1500 and 2200 systems support full-duplex two-up printing with
output of 1,432 and 2,147 letter images per minute,
respectively.
If your full-color volumes are relatively low, you can start out
with an Océ JetStream 750 system and field-upgrade it to the next
level of productivity as your color requirements grow. This easy
upgradeability is particularly valuable when you are re-engineering
legacy documents to full-color transpromo jobs.
Océ JetStream high-volume systems
Océ JetStream wide-web systems
Wide-web printing for greater productivity and flexibility Offering
ultra-fast inkjet print speeds on a wider web, the Océ JetStream

more books in less time with less waste, producing a standard 5" x
7", 150-page pocket book block in less than 0.75 seconds—a
productivity improvement of 50 percent compared to the
already-productive Océ JetStream 2200 system. And in the growing
field of digital newspaper printing, you can double your
productivity printing tabloid-size newspapers in two-up mode.
What’s more, you can tap into new opportunities printing short-run
distributed papers, niche publications and special editions and
micro-zone publishing.
In short, with a wider web, you can take on jobs you couldn’t
before and produce them at extremely high speeds, opening up a
world of opportunity in high-volume, full-color digital printing of
graphic arts applications like banners and posters.
The extra-wide 30" paper width is available with two Océ JetStream
systems—the Océ JetStream 2800, which produces 426 feet of color
output per minute and the Océ JetStream 3300, which produces a
blazing 492 feet of output per minute. Both systems are available
as black-only versions that can be easily field-upgraded to
full-color CMYK, for maximum investment protection.
