• Build on existing best practice and opportunities for the development of and young people’s engagement in the arts and culture
• Connecting existing high quality opportunities and addressing gaps
• Contribute to the personal and creative development of children and young people
• Improve the quality of arts offer for children and young people
• Lever in additional funds in order to ensure the long term sustainability of activity for children and young people
