Existing Hall: constructed 1975by volunteers; replaced old hall
that destroyed by fire (1972);
Land purchased by community for $5000.00 from Dr. Thomas ;
Funds accessed through a UI / Unemployment Insurance make
work project to construct new hall;
Bouchie Lake Recreation Commissionnot for profit society
(now Bouchie Lake Community Association was formed);
Society donated property for Bouchie Lake Volunteer Fire
Department; CRD entered into a 99 year lease with the Society
for $1.00;

The Facilities
Are the HEARTof Bouchie Lake (used by community for potlucks,
gatherings, fitness classes (yoga, zumba, dance), drop in programs
(painting, badminton, volleyball), and so much more;
Serve both communities of Bouchie Lake and Milburn Lake (as
Milburn Lake Hall is now being used by the BL Volunteer Fire
Department for storage);
Programs provided through a partnership between Bouchie LakeRecreation Commission and the Bouchie Lake Community Assoc.

Programs and Events held at the hall are open to EVERYONE;
2013 was 32ndBouchie Lake Seniors Luncheon hosted by Bouchie
Lake Community Association; ~250 seniors fed at the hall on St.Patricks Day; people are invited from throughout Quesnel and
District;
55 different people attended our 2014 Lawnchair Travel Series
(from as far away as Hixon, BC and Red Bluff)
