allocated for this test is
120 minutes. You are advised to spend 30 minutes on task one, 20
minutes on task two, 35 minutes on task three and 35 minutes on
task four. You are allowed to write 15 % more or less words than
specified in the task. The last page of the book can be used only
as a draft page and will not be a subject of scoring. Do not exceed

TASK 1
Part 1
There will be a big sale in the shopping mall close to the hotel
you are staying in during your
course in England. Write a short e-mail to your colleague from the
course, in which you will
inform him/her:
how long the sale lasts.

Part 2
You have been to the shopping mall for the big sale. Write an
e-mail to your friend in which
you will:
describe the shopping mall and the area around it;

Consumption of material goods in some developing countries is
quickly reaching Western
proportions. For instance, some developing countries are being
asked to comply with
environmental regulations which many developed countries did not
have to observe until
recently.
Discuss whether it is fair to require more from developing
countries nowadays than it
was required from the latter ones in the past.
Speculate on how these new regulations might consequently affect
developing
countries.
