REUNION 2010 • Pay-As-You-Go: This is a new concept tohelp those of us (young and old) who mayneed a place to save their funds so as notto be tempted to use it before the reunion.It would be much easier to save a littleeach month and not have to come up witha lump sum when funds are due. THIS ISOPTIONAL!! No one is required toparticipate. This' is how Pay-As-You-Goworks. We will open a savlnqs account ,named Turner- Bogguess Family Reunion.Monies you want to save will be forwardedto Bonni Huffman, which will be depositedinto the account. A receipt will beforwarded back to you immediately toconfirm your funds were received and inthe savings account. Should you decideyou don't want to participate, contact BonniHuffman and your money will be returnedto you, no questions asked ... IT'S YOURMONEY! Anyone can contribute to anotherperson's savings account if the wish bygiving us the person's name when yousend it in. You can also send contributionstoward a general account (We Care Fund)to assist others needing financial assist-ance in attending. Please include whereyou wish your funds to be applied.Presently, the three individuals on theaccount are Bonni Huffman, Leasa(Ronnie) Neely, and James Turner.

Greetings Dear Family,

We are now in the preliminary stages ofplanning for the Turner-Bogguess FamilyReunion in 2010 in the beautiful city of LasVegas, NV on July 15 - 18. This advancenotice should give you sufficient time to planon being there. If you know of anyone whodid not receive this newsletter, please informme and I will get a copy to them pronto. Allfriends and guests are welcomed and will betreated as family. With so many of our lovedones passing on before us, it is important thatwe honor our ancestors and come together asa family as we were taught when we werechildren. We must keep the tradition alive.Thus far, these are the details:

• Accommodations: We are consideringseveral hotels as options, but if you have afavorite one, please expedite your choice tous and we will include it in our research.There are many choices and we want tofind the right accommodations at the bestprice to accommodate our family's needs.

We will also have a checking account to beused for the different funds needed forexpenses, such as hotel deposits (ifneeded), registration fees, activities plan-ned, restaurants and catering, Meet andGreet night, t-shirts, and any otherexpenses we may incur. The same threeindividuals who sign checks on the savingsaccount will be responsible for the checkingaccount.

ClI Registration Fee: This year, we areasking for a registration fee to cover theexpenses for mailings (stamps, paper,envelopes, etc.), incurred travel (gas),handouts, hospitality gifts (bags), and othermiscellaneous expenses we may incur.We are asking $10.00 per adult (anyoneover 18). Any funds remaining after the2010 reunion will be applied to futurereunions.

A monthly reconciliation of the checkingaccount will be forwarded to eachparticipating family.

*Although we have researched certainactivities, if you have any suggestionsof what we can do in the Las Vegasarea (places to go, sights to see, besteating places, etc.) let us know, we areopen to your suggestions. Also, weneed you to help us come up with anappropriate theme for our reunion.

sent in their information. HOWEVER, much ofthe information is incorrect and needs to beupdated. If your information has changed inthe past three years (moved, additions, etc) oryou would like to include your information,please fill out the. attached form and forward itto the editor. You can include a picture if you'dlike to. Otherwise, your information will beincorrect and all future information we forwardwill not get toyou.

As previously discussed, there must besufficient planning to ensure a successful andenjoyable reunion. It will take planning,communication, feedback, volunteerism, andcooperation on all our parts. More informationwill be forthcoming next month and wheneverneeded thereafter. The most important' aspectis the reunion is off the ground and we're readyto fly. Until next time. .

b. Catering: Research and negotiate withcaterers and food establishments forbest services and prices. Coordinateproper arrival of food.

c. Travel coordinator: Coordinate andassist attendees and their travel needssuch as possible carpooling, prevailingweather conditions, available shuttleservice, from airport/train/bus station toand from Las Vegas. Also, to researchand assist in coordinating any tours thatmay be available.

d. T-shirt: Choose colors and designlogo for t-shirt. (Be creative, have a

e. Activities: *This committee willdetermine the list of activities for ourreunion members. Emphasis should beplaced on age, gender, transportationcosts, and member preference.Negotiate best prices for activities andcoordinate with the travel committee ontransportation. Keep in close contactwith activity vendors to ensure timelyarrivals and their commitment toprofessionalism and positive customerservice.
