Winter may have been cold and harsh,but at Bob Jass Chevrolet the atmosphereis—as always—warm and friendly. Customertraffic has been increasing, and business isgetting busier.

“We have seen a definite increase in thenumber of people coming in to buy vehicles,”said General Manager Ryan Easter. “Wehave been particularly pleased to see moreand more people coming here from Geneva,Batavia and St. Charles. We have alwaysbeen blessed to have our regular customerswho come here all the time. It's also nice tosee new faces and build relationships.”

Bob Jass Chevrolet is also fortunate tohave what the staff has come to call theirBatavia liaison—Bruce Hohmann. A lifetimeresident of Batavia, Bruce has 22 years ofcar sales experience and is thrilled to seethat quite a few of his “regulars” have nowfound him working at his new home.

”My customers are my friends, and it'salways good to see them, catch up with themand find out what is going on in their lives,”said Bruce.

Bob Jass Chevrolet is growing its stafftoo. We are pleased to announce the arrivalof our newest employee: Steven Dobbs.Steve comes to us from England, where hehad six years of experience in the used vehi-cle market. Steve also brings with him hisextensive knowledge of computers, Internetsales and vehicle marketing.

“I am so excited to be a part of the BobJass Chevrolet dealership,” said Steve. “Myprevious sales experience was with an inde-pendent specialist dealership. I reallyenjoyed being able to work with my cus-tomers and getting to know them personally.I'm looking forward to building those samekinds of relationships here, too.”

Born in Gloucestershire, England, Stevebegan his automotive career when he wasjust 13 years old, washing cars for their localdealership.

“I loved everything about it—washing,detailing, and getting the cars ready for pho-tography,” said Steve. “I have always had alove of cars.”

Just five short years later, Steve transi-tioned to a position in sales and has beenenjoying that aspect of the car business eversince.

In the last three years, Steve has madefive trips to the U.S. In October 2010, hemade the big move permanently “over thepond.”

Recently married, Steve, now 24, and hiswife, Katherine, call Batavia their home.

“It was difficult to leave my family and myjob in England, but the people here—mostespecially at Bob Jass Chevrolet—havemade that transition a lot easier. Everyone isso welcoming here.”
