With the support of more than 500 volunteer health care professionals, students and community members, the Charlottesville Free Clinic provides free primary medical care, mental health services, prescription medications and dental services for low-income, uninsured adults who do not qualify for free care elsewhere in the community. In 2012, the CFC treated 3,300 medical and dental patients with more than 9,000 visits. Funding is provided by events like our annual benefit concert, donations, grants from local and regional foundations, and an annual allocation from the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
