Operation Modes
The terminal operates in the following modes:
Network comparison of the produced fingerprint with its digital templatestored on the identification server; in this mode the number of theFingerPass users is unlimited;
Local (standalone) comparing the produced fingerprint with its digitaltemplate stored in the device internal memory; when operating in the localmode, FingerPass IC can store up to 500 users (two fingerprints for eachuser);
Combined combination of the network and local modes. Operation inthe above modes provides for the device fault-tolerance, meaning that inthe event of LAN failure or temporary unavailability of the biometric serverFingerPass remains functioning.
