Lessons Learnt….• Farmer turn out for PRA is poor!!
Site manager or logistics team member has not done his/her job properly – insufficient publicity or last minute notification
• Participation by women are low!!Chicken are generally cared for by women, and goats by both men & women. Important to have equal representation
• Some farmers in the group are more active/talkative and deny others in giving their opinion!!Observer/Facilitator should divert attention to others in the group
Lessons Learnt….• Members of the PRA team or
enumerators are less familiar with technical termsClarify your doubts during training and use the glossary
• Confusion in names used by farmers to identify chicken and goat breeds Guide the farmers by showing colour photos
• Incomplete PRA reports!!The PRA team should get together and review the notes taken by the note keepers and put together the draft report the very next day
