From the Essential Dashboard
Select Azure Backup service to configure
Download Azure Backup integration module
Azure Backup needs a plug-in to be installed
Windows Server and Server Essentials supported
Now Azure Backup is enabled

Configure Restore Services
Part 1
From Recovery Services
Go to Windows Azure Portal August 2014: not available into
portal.azure.com
Select Backup Vault | Quick Create
Give it a name
Select a region (near to you)
Azure Dashboard
Service is created, but not configured
No servers registered: server must register from itself
Register Server

From Azure Backup app
Identify Server with Certificate
You need to select a certificate that can recognize server
It is already available into the server (created during installation)
Don’t choose the first one (server name,
longer validity)
Export certificate to a .cer file
Configure Restore Services
Part 2
Now back to the Azure Portal
Upload exported certificate to the portal
Now portal knows the server when it will register itself to the Vault
Register Server
Proceed
Now proceed with Server Registration
Now re-select the selected certificate
Azure knows it!

Passphrase
Generate a passphrase
Shared secret with server to encrypt/decript data
Save it on an USB Key Or somewhere else
Without passphrase, Vault is unuseful
