The Graphic Programming System AutoTurn as from SW 4has been extended to include the following functions:
Extended blankshapes
With the function "Free definition" you can define anyblank using all the options available for creation of afinished part geometry: Cylinder / Taper / Circle / Contour / Compensation
If your blank has an equidistant allowancearound the finished part contouryou can define the blank geometry with the function"Allowance finished part “ instead of using the freedefinition function.
Face endmachining
In addition to the finished part geometry contoursoutside / insideavailable until now, three additional contour planes are suggested: Face end right Face end left PeripheralYou can program holes, thread holes, slots and freecontours (pockets, islands, open contours) on each of thesethree new contour planes.
Constructiongeometries
Using construction geometries the Graphic ProgrammingSystem AutoTurn calculates unknown contour points fromconstruction lines and circles. You can use this function, for example, to produce a freepocket contour initially using construction geometries andthen put together the desired contour that you actually wishto machine from selected geometry elements.

Functionality as with AutoTurn or AutoTurn Plus. The software runs on a conventional PC underWindows 95.
Advantage:Preparing AutoTurn programsfor job planning.
Coupling toCAD systems
The CAD coupling is used to process complex parts, whichwere constructed by the customer by means of CADsystems, by applying AutoTurn.CAD information must be saved in the form of DXF files.
AutoTurn reads in these DXF files and filtersthe customer-specific information such as dimensionsand shading etc. from this file. This saves programming for unmachined part and finishedproduct processing. The data are stored in the Clipboard.
