Be on task – you are on assignment. Share His life and love with those the Lord would bring your
way. You are a CA!

ON ASSIGNMENT
To be a success at most anything in this life one must show up and stay on task. Now obviously this doesn’t guarantee success, but without these ingredi-ents one will not advance. We have been called to a great purpose! And it is true to succeed at this pur-pose one must show up and stay on task.
This is no ordinary task. Did you know that you have a prestigious job in the Kingdom of God? You are so important that all of Heaven is with you, just waiting to act on your be-half. Why? Because you are an ambassador for Christ to this world! 2 Co-rinthians 5:20 tells us so, “We are Christ’s ambassa-dors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” (NIV)
We are on assignment as ambassador. How wonder-ful that Paul uses this word to describe us! So if this idea of ambassador is the description of our assign-ment we ought to fully
embrace it. According to Paul, we are heavenly dele-gates – “ambassadors” who have been sent out as Heaven’s representatives to the planet earth. As CA’s (Christ Ambassadors), we are the voice of Heaven. As Heaven’s representatives, we are fully backed and fully funded by the authority and resources of Heaven!
Don’t ever think that you are unimportant to the plan of God. You are a Christ Am-bassador! You represent Jesus with skin on to your family, to your place of em-ployment, and to your neighborhood. You have been invested with royal powers, including the Name of Jesus, and you may call upon Heaven to assist you at any given moment.
Wherever you go this day and whatever you do, stay on task by remembering the One you are representing. If you need special help from above to represent the Lord in a positive manner, re-member that as a Christ Am-bassador, all of Heaven is standing by to fully support your efforts today.

The BGMC Summer Challenge!!
The Last Sunday in May we Challenged the Kids to give at least $800 this Summer to BGMC. The top givers will receive a BGMC Bag. They will be encouraged to spend their summer raising money for missions! Some ideas to do raise money are a lemonade stand, a bake sale or even a rummage sale. They have June, July and August to raise $800 dollars. If the kids raise at least $800 dollars in three months we will have a special Pizza Party movie night just for them!! Help the kids reach their goal in the next three months. We will let you know about the different fundraisers that kids will be doing over the summer!! May
this summer have purpose for all our kids while they raise money for children all over the world.
Got stuff you don’t need? Want to help children all over the world? Donate your stuff to BGMC!
The Kids are having a garage sale to raise funds for children around the world. Proceeds will be do-
nated to BGMC (Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge), an organization that provides food, clothing, shel-
ter, medical care, education, clean water, and much more for children all over the world.
If you have anything you’d like to donate to the garage sale please drop it off Friday August 17th at
Gerry Hoffman’s House 1502 14th Ave. SW Jamestown. We ask that you have all your items priced
and ready to be sold. We also need people to make some baked items for the kids to sell. If you
would like to do that please contact Pastor Mary Ann. We also need some help with set up, tear
down and selling! If you are interested in helping please contact Pastor Mary Ann ASAP! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
This picture was taken the Wednesday night of kids camp. The message that night was about the kids hearing the voice of God for themselves. We were asked to get with all our girls and talk to them. I felt impressed that night to talk about the Holy Spirit, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and why we need to be baptized in the spirit. One thing that came out in that discussion was that we need to get out of our comfort zone and speak the word and pray out loud. We went back to our seats and a little while latter Twyla felt impressed to ask anyone who was not feeling well to the center isle, a chaperone or a camper. I had a head cold and it was getting worse so I stepped into the center isle. Twyla then asked kids to go pray for all those in the center . Three of my girls stepped out of their comfort zone and came and prayed for me. I
did not feel better right away but the next day I woke up and felt much better and by Friday my cold was gone! So these girls got to see how God answered their prayers!
Well, here I am, a little over a month in as the youth pastor and so excited about what God is already putting together in our youth here at First Assembly. I was privileged to be a part of both Jr. High and Senior High camps this year where I saw each student grow in leaps and bounds in their walk with the Lord. Upon returning I had a student get in the car with his grandpa, looked over at him and said, "grandpa, God touched me in so many ways i don’t even know where to start." God is beginning to take ordinary students and equip them with the tools necessary to impact their world. On Wednesday the 25th of July, which was our first Wednesday after we had just returned from camp. I spoke on protect-ing our freedom in Christ and walking in freedom with the power given to us through the Holy Spirit. After the Altar call was over and we wrapped up the service I had two of my students come to me and say "Pastor Kenneth, we know God healed the pain in your hips at camp but we believe God wants to heal the pain in your knees and ankles too." This pic-ture was taken in that moment where 8 students stood there calling down healing, in faith that they would see God move. God took away the pain in my knees and ankles that night but bigger than that this picture is an example that students are not just sitting around at youth group, but they are taking ownership in their personal relationship with the Lord and beginning to walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Praise God! :-) As much as I am excited about what God has done, I'm even more excited about what is to come. I don't believe God builds, strengthens and takes us to a new level with Him so we can sit in the lazy chair looking down on those not yet touched by God. In the case of God building us, its time to step into God using us to help build others. We as a group are going to continue growing while living to impact the world around us. Campus Missions is a tool we are going to use this upcoming school year, where students take a stand to say they live for God. Campus missions is simply students dedicating their lives to pray, live, tell, serve, and give in and out of their schools to impact those around them for God. As we enter this school year I believe God has huge things for our core group of students, but I also believe God is going to continue bringing students into our group where they will be impacted by Gods love and find purpose for their life. Thank you for your prayers and continued support of our students here at First Assembly! :-) Pursuing the Moments Pastor Kenneth Curtis
