Where do all these wires go?
Now we are going to attach the tether to the motors.

Here’s what you’ll need:
• Wire cutter/crimper/stripper• 8 Butt splices• Electrical tape • ROV with motors attached
• Tether
Attaching the Tether
1. Strip about ¾ inch of wire off the end of the 8 tether wires
2. Do the same to the and motor wires.

Attaching the Tether3. Determine which motor will be controlled
by each switch. The colored wires going to the switch must be the same as the colored wires going to that motor. (For example, the motor you want to be controlled by this switch, should be connected to yellow and green wires.)
4. Record which pairs of colored wires connect to which motors.
Attaching the Tether5. Each motor is powered by one black and one brown wire. The brown
and black wires will connect to the pairs of colored wires via butt splices.
6. Insert the end of a colored wire and a motor wire into opposite sides of the butt splice.
7. Crimp on both ends.8. Tug at wires to make sure they are securely locked in the butt splice.9. Secure each butt splice with electrical tape.

avoid tangling.
