PROJECT TITLE
OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT
Objective of this project is to develop software for ATM and to computerize the daily
transaction like withdrawing money from ATM or reloading card amount, etc. It replaces all
the paper work and transactions become very fast. It keeps records of customers and checks
the validity of card using password.
An automated teller machine or automatic teller machine (ATM), also known as an
automated banking machine (ABM) in Canada, and a Cash point (which is a trademark
of Lloyds TSB), cash machine or sometimes a hole in the wall in British English, is a
computerised telecommunications device that provides the clients of a financial
institution with access to financial transactions in a public space without the need for a
cashier, human clerk or bank teller. ATMs are known by various other names including
ATM machine, automated banking machine, and various regional variants derived from
trademarks on ATM systems held by particular banks.
Invented by John Shepherd-Barron, the first ATM was introduced in June 1967 at
Barclays Bank in Enfield, UK.On most modern ATMs, the customer is identified
by inserting a plastic ATM card with a magnetic stripe or a plastic smart card
with a chip. Authentication is provided by the customer entering a personal
identification number (PIN). It is the security for user‘s card and we can take
easly amount for atm.
CURRENT SYSTEM & PROPOSED SYSTEM
In the current system, we had to go to bank and make the transactions like
withdraw the money and transfer the cash from one account to another account
and for getting the balance enquiry of account. that system was the time
consuming and there was a problem that the transaction may abort due to some
form filling problem that may cause the transaction uncompleted or incorrect
report may come .
Whereas in the propose system, we will doing all these things by the electronic
device in which all the activities like money withdrawn and money transfer from
one account to another account and the balance enquiry ,all the work can be done
by this system without any mistake and with the full clarity in fast and easy way.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM
Single network.
High evolution potential, works with existing, legacy technologies
Provides the best multiple service support
Supports delay close to that of dedicated services
Supports the broadest range of burstiness, delay tolerance and loss
performance through the implementation of multiple Quos classes
Provides the capability to support both connection-oriented and
connectionless traffic using AALs
Able to use all common physical transmission paths like SONET.
Cable can be twisted-pair, coaxial or fiber-optic
Ability to connect LAN to WAN
Legacy LAN emulation
Efficient bandwidth use by statistical multiplexing
Scalability
Higher aggregate bandwidth
MODULE DESCRIPTIONThere are five modules of this project “atm machine”. As we know
that all the module will describe the different operations of the
Atm machine that is managed in the banking by this machine. The
detailed information regarding these modules are given below:-
MODULE -1: Cash withdraw
MODULE -2: Balance enquire
MODULE -3: Fund transfer
MODULE -4: Change password
MODULE-5: Mini statement
1. Cash withdraw:- In this module we can take the money by atm
machine. It is the first module of the atm machine. Today, we know that every
person should be require its.
2. Balance Enquire: It is the second step of the module
description. It is very important, when we take the money from
atm machine then it tells that how many amount is in the
customer account.
3. Fund Transfer: It is the third step of the module description.
In this module we can easily transfer the money from one
account to another account.
4. Change password : it is the fourth step of the module
description. In this module we can change the password of the
atm card. So it is very useful to customer.
5.Mini Statement: it is the last step of the module description.
In this module we can see the credit or debit statements of any
customer account.

CONCLUSION
To conclude that Using an ATM, customers can access their bank accounts
in order to make cash withdrawals, credit card cash advances, and check their
account balances as well as purchase prepaid cell phone credit. If the currency
being withdrawn from the ATM is different from that which the bank account is
denominated in (e.g.: Withdrawing Japanese Yen from a bank account containing
US Dollars), the money will be converted at a wholesale exchange rate. Thus,
ATMs often provide the best possible exchange rate for foreign travelers and are
heavily used for this purpose as well
