Vegetables are Good for us
Some people do not like to eat vegetables. But
vegetables are good for us. They have sugar, starch,
vitamins and iron. All these things are needed to build a
strong and healthy body. Vegetables like carrot,
cucumber, cabbage, tomato and spring onions (green
onions) can be eaten raw. Some diseases develop
because of not eating vegetables. A disease called
scurvy is caused due to lack of vitamin C that is found in
fresh vegetables. In scurvy the skin develops inflamed
