Your guide to this year’s showcase of the best Arkansas has to offer
PRODUCT RUNWAY 2019 | FRIGHT NIGHT
Welcome to Fright Nightand the Inaugural
ASID South Central Chapter Product Runway Show!
Producing Product Runway has been an incredible experience for all of us. Our talented design teams, volunteers, and underwriters have demonstrated what our community is capable of accomplishing when they come together for something bigger than themselves, and we couldn’t be more proud.
Product Runway gives designers in our industry the opportunity to stretch their creative capacities, while participating in a friendly competition with their peers. Volunteers are given the opportunity to further develop leadership skills while making new industry connections and friendships. Vendors have so generously donated to support our efforts and create the garments you are about to see and the beautiful space within which you’ll see them. We can’t thank you all enough!
Product Runway not only showcases our design industry’s widespread talents but it also benefits ASID at large. By being here tonight, you are directly contributing to the design industry in our area. Thank you for being here with us and we wish the best of luck to all of this year’s design teams!
Very Sincerely,
The 2019 Product Runway Planning Committee

Matthew CooperExecutive Chef | Preacher’s Son
Chef Matthew Cooper is the Executive Chef of The Preacher’s Son and a true third generation preacher’s son. His father delivered one of his first sermons forty years ago right across the street from the restaurant at First United Methodist, Bentonville. Chef Matt’s passion for food stems from the strong family environment in which he grew up and the training he has acquired over the years.
Chef Matt played a huge role as one of the first members to set a foundation for Ropeswing Group. He joined the hospitality group in January 2015, and opened The Preacher’s Son as the Executive Chef in 2016. He is passionate about creating a fam-ily atmosphere within The Preacher’s Son where everyone feels valued, and can learn and grow in a creative, team-oriented environment. He takes the same approach with his food. The Preacher’s Son is a completely gluten free kitchen as Chef Cooper has Celiac disease, which is why he accommodates all dietary restrictions.
“Relationships matter, and we approach our food program in a sustainable, local-ly-sourced way. I cultivate strong connections with our farmers and their families,” said Chef Matt. “We have a 100 percent food recovery program at The Preacher’s Son and strive to be as sustainable as possible.”
When not working, Chef Matt values time with Priscilla, his partner of close to 20 years; their daughter, Lillian; and two dogs. Living in Bentonville, he feels that both work and home families are a part of a community whose goal is to make a difference in the surrounding region—and the world. “In every respect, Bentonville is an amazing, growing, nurturing place to raise a family, where you can connect with individuals and build relationships through The Preacher’s Son and the neighborhood.”

Donny HubbardHubbard Clothing Co.
Los Angeles native who grew up fascinated by the city’s fashion and the glamor-ous lifestyles often associated with it, Hubbard moved to Fort Smith at age 13.He later met Paul Rainwater of Rainwater’s Clothing, and began working there at 19.“Literally, the day I started working at Rainwater’s, I thought I would own that store eventually,” Hubbard said.Though his career path led him away from Fort Smith, Hubbard has been a part-owner of Baumans Northwest Arkansas since 2008. That will end Sept. 1, when Hubbard and another investor open their own store, The Independent.“It’s super-exciting to finally get the chance to put your own stamp on something,” Hubbard said. The change comes after a 10-year association with Baumans that began with Hubbard operating as a salesman “building a client base out of the trunk of my car.”Hubbard, who lives with his wife and two children in Springdale, depended large-ly on cold calls before former University of Arkansas golf coach Mike Ketcham introduced him to a pipeline of upwardly mobile clients.“Referrals, referrals, referrals,” Hubbard said, explaining one of the keys to his succes. “I’m a relationship guy, and that’s what’s been most important for me — the ability to provide a service people here were not expecting or couldn’t get anywhere else.”
