As Narendra Modi completestwo years as Prime Minister, heremains the second most-likedworld leader on Facebook, thesocial media giant said today.

The list of most-liked worldleaders on Facebook released bythe social network shows that Modiis second only to US PresidentBarack Obama and is followed byTurkish President Recep TayyipErdogan.

Modi’s Facebook post onMay 15 with his mother at hisofficial residence at Delhi’s RaceCourse Road remains on top with1.6 million likes, 1.2 lakh sharesand 34,000 comments.

“My mother returns toGujarat. Spent quality time withher after a long time & that tooon her 1st visit to RCR,” he hadwritten in the post which wasaccompanied by three photo-graphs of the mother-son duo.

The Prime Minister’s col-leagues are also not far behindin making their presence felt inthe virtual world.

Out of a total of 50 cabinetministers along with ministerswith independent charge, 47 ofthem have verified Facebookpresence.

Decisions on visas toPakistan nationals to

be speeded upNEW DELHI, May 26:

Decisions on granting visasto Pakistani nationals are likelyto be speeded up by the IndianGovernment by simplifying thenecessary processes.

Union Home Ministry offi-cials are working on simplify-ing processes for "quick deci-sion making" on visa applica-tions by Pakistani nationals,official sources said today.

The matter regarding grantof visas by India was discussedbetween Home Secretary RajivMehrishi and Indian HighCommissioner to PakistanGautam Bambawale here today.

Both the officials are under-stood to have discussed issuesrelating to the two countries.

The sources said the officialsdiscussed ways to upgrade exist-ing facilities at its Attari immigra-tion check point in Punjab.

The Home Ministry is seek-ing to ensure that a decisionwhether to grant a visa or not to aPakistani national is taken in aminimum time and its modalitiesare understood to have discussedduring the 30-minute-long meet-ing, the sources said.(PTI)
