Hello Ardmore families!
On behalf of the PTSA, I’d like to welcome you back for what is looking to be a great year at Ardmore! Believe it or not we were working through the summer on plans for the Olympics (9/19) and creating a fun filled calendar for the year! This year the Ardmore PTSA is starting a program called The Ardmore One Hour Pledge. The PTSA is asking parents to pledge one hour of time (per season/ per student). We know one of the biggest fears people have in volunteering for PTSA is getting pulled in and getting landed with more work than intended. We are com-mitted to making sure that doesn’t happen, and will accept all and any help offered!
We love that your children come to PTSA events and often times you’re already at the events. It’s a great way to meet other parents while giving back to the school! If you were unable to attend Taking Care of Business and sign your pledge sheet, be sending home an additional with Eagle Mail that goes out on Thursdays! We truly enjoy helping to enhance your children’s learning ex-perience at Ardmore and hope you are able to join us!
Sincerely,
Misty Dampier
Ardmore PTSA President

The 5th Annual Ardmore Olympics are here!
The Ardmore Olympics will be held Saturday, September 19th from 1pm- 4pm on
the school playground. What a great way to celebrate our community - a fun
afternoon with Olympic style student events, free t-shirts for all students in
attendance, and carnival games with a chance for prizes. We'll be handing out
gold, silver, and bronze medals for our solo event winners.
The dunk tank will be back! Would anyone like to dunk Mr. Miller? Mr. Jones?
Your teacher? Students will be gathering pledges starting the second week of school. You'll get a packet
that explains everything about the event. Unlike other schools, this is our only fundraiser of the year!
You can be creative - take the pledge sheet to work, ask neighbors, and ask family friends on Facebook to
donate online at ardmoreelementary.org/ardmoreolympics. This link sends donors to our PayPal account
where they can specify the student's name by adding that note to their donation.
Students are eligible for solo and class prizes based on participation and total dollars raised. Corporate
matching is always encouraged but is not counted towards prize eligibility. 100% of your child's pledges
go straight to our school, thanks to sponsors who cover the entire cost of our Olympics event. With these
funds the PTSA is able to help pay for field trips, Family Fun Nights, performances, Eagle folders, and en-
richment funds for every classroom. We pay for things that benefit all students, things that would not be
available without this fundraiser.
We appreciate your support and can use your help for the event! If any parents can help at the event or have more questions, please contact Michelle Bell at 425-985-8048 or [email protected]. You can also check out: http://helptime.com for a detailed list of volunteer opportunities for all Ardmore events.
If your student does not get an Olympics packet, there will be some available in the office.
