Background of the organisation: The organization was started nearly two months ago. The stages of
development of the organization consisted in recruiting a dedicated team with expertise with students
under the Erasmus mobility program and experience in teamwork. Several meetings were held with the
entire team to jointly elaborate the objectives, the activities plan and the bylaws.
The structure of the organisation: The organization was created recently and most members of this
organization are currently active members in the Student's Union of the University of Algarve, which has
done an excellent job in the insertion of foreign students in the community, helping them in their arrival
and during their stay in University of Algarve, under the various existing mobility programs.
Activities: The activities we have planned are in our activities plan and very briefly are: fetch and bring
national and international students to the airport and bus and train stations . For international students we
intend to also arrange tours by the city of Faro , dinners together , boating , night outs and parties . For the
students of our university who will go out of our country under a mobility program, we intend to also help
them in adapting to a new country , culture and language by working together with the ESN of the
country or city for which they will go as well as help them on their return , in partnership with the office
of the international affairs in upgrading their studies and university life. If they wish , we intend them to
be part of our team which has in its composition many elements that went out of our country under a
mobility program.
Mentor system: At this moment is the Student's Union of the University of Algarve which helps
international students and from which almost all of our team members are part.
Information: We intend to provide all the information in English. The University, through the office for
international affairs, also provides information in English, but we want to fill some gaps. The information
already provided is: information about possible housing for students, information about places where they
can eat and entertainment venues, information about the university and about its structure, offices, bars
and canteens.
Financial situation: At this moment, the organization is still not funded because there is another
application for the ESN Faro.

About the Institutions: The section has the support of the office for international affairs. However, there
is another application for the ESN Faro, so the conditions on how the Grim will support us will be
established later if we are the winner application.
Co-operation with other student organisations: The organization has regular cooperation with the
Student's Union of the University of Algarve. As was mentioned earlier, it is the Student's Association of
the University of Algarve which has been in charge of issues related to international students. Thus, our
team will assume their functions in relation to international students. There will be a cooperation between
the two organizations so that international students feel always our support in relation to pedagogical and
personal issues.
Facilities: There is another application for the ESN Faro, therefore we still do not know about the
facilities to which we will have access.
Faculties: The organisation involve all the faculties from University of Algarve.
