Ranked No. 8 in the U.S. by the TFE Times, the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the rapidly growing market for analytics and data science professionals. Companies in the private and public sector have a need for executives, analysts, and specialists with advanced training in analytics technology and business management, and the Eccles School gives you just that. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEWApplicants with a complete MSBA application by the scholarship deadline and a minimum 550 GMAT score or approved GMAT waiver are eligible to apply for admissions scholarships. A separate scholarship application will be emailed to eligible applicants after noti�cation of their admissions decision. Criteria for awards include demonstrated excellence in academic or professional pursuits, as assessed in program and scholarship applications.

Beginning with Spring 2020 applicants, all University of Utah alumni are eligible for a 10% tuition scholarship once admitted to the Eccles School MSBA program. Applicants can qualify for this award by including the University of Utah as their degree-granting institution as well as uploading uno�cial transcripts on their program application.

Capstone ProjectThe capstone is an in-depth, consulting-based project wherestudents put their classroom knowledge to work to execute a data analysics project for an industry partner. The capstone project is three credit hours completed over three semesters.
CAREER SERVICESMSBA students bene�t from working one-on-one with a dedicated career coach throughout the program. The MSBA career coach helps students prepare to enter the growing market for analytics professionals as well as teaches a one-credit-hour course on career development.

PREPARE FOR A CERTIFICATION
MSBA students will be prepared to sit for the INFORMS Associate Certifed Analytics Professional (aCAP) designation upon graduation. The aCAP certifcation is another tool students can achieve to show employers their analytics expertise. The MSBA curriculum includes the aCAP key concepts, and an exam simulator is available to help students prepare for the certifcation exam. Students are responsible for the exam cost.
