SUPERMAX Design Features• Threaded and coupled on non-upset plain end • Taper: 1/16 • 8 TPI for SUPERMAX/5 TPI for SUPERMAX 2 • Pin: Bare/Coupling: Phosphated
The reclamation of used API EUE tubing with an insufficient upset length for repair is one of the many low cost benefits of SUPERMAX. Additionally, SUPERMAX was designed for compatibility with various products such as internal plastic coating (IPC), glass-reinforced epoxy lining (GRE) and resilient seals.

Thread Engagement
As API Buttress pin thread moves axially, high contact pressure cannot be induced on the load flanks.
Load and stabbing flanks of SUPERMAX threads have a high contact pressure that is energized on both flanks upon make-up, similar to an API 8 Round thread.

HIGH PERFORMANCEMultiple make and break capabilities are made possible by the galling resistance of SUPERMAX. With unique thread engagement and tight machining tolerance, the sealing integrity of SUPERMAX allows for excellent internal pressure resistance. Because the tensile strength is equal to the pipe body, the joint strength remains unsurpassed.
SUPERIOR FITSUPERMAX is made with a smaller coupling OD than API EUE 8 Round, making it a better fit for low clearances. The absence of an external upset means more internal room for production volume, increased pump rates and ESP Cables.
COMPETITIVE PRICINGSUPERMAX is a reduced cost alternative to EUE tubing. The ease of threading on non-upset tubing equals lower cost accessories and extended product life, making SUPERMAX a very cost-effective alternative in the tubular market.
