NMIAirport recently welcomed over 100 young mathematicians and their teachers
to Kingston, JAMAICA for the 18thMathematical Olympiad of Central America and
the Caribbean (OMCC). Kingston was host destination to the prestigious competi-
tion for the first time. Accepting a sample of NMIA's welcome gift on behalf of
the visiting Maths group is - Ajani Asaru ( UWI lecturer in the Mathematics Dept.)
and making the presentation is NMIA’s Marketing Assistant– Nicholas Amore.

YELLOW FEVER ALERT | GET THE FACTS !!!
Yellow fever is an acute viral hemorrhagic
disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes.
The "yellow" in the name refers to the jaun-
dice (yellowing of the eyes) that affects
some patients.
Symptoms of yellow fever include fever, headache, jaundice, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting and fatigue. A small pro-
portion of patients who contract the virus develop severe symptoms and approximately half of those die within 7 to
10 days. The virus is endemic in tropical areas of Africa and Central and South America.
Yellow fever is prevented by an extremely effective vaccine, which is safe and affordable. Travellers are being alerted
and advised to take precautionary measure when travelling to and from Yellow Fever infected countries. Before travel-
ling to or from at risk countries, ensure that you consult your doctor to receive your Yellow Fever Vaccination and
your immunization certificate as proof of vaccination. Use mosquito repellent which contains DEET. Use a Mosquito
net when sleeping, avoid wearing scantily clad clothing.
Passengers travelling (including airport transit) from countries listed below are required to have evidence of Yellow
Fever Vaccination and present to the health officer before permission is granted for landing by immigration.

TEAM TINSON PEN AERODROME / AAJ chose Majesty Gardens Infant School as their Labour Day Project for 2016 .
The team went out in full force repainting and beautifying the learning space . AAJ covered all related expense for the
special project. Making the cheque presentation to Karen Fitz Ritson ( Chairman of the Board ) is Shelly McIntosh - Op-
erations Officer / Tinson Pen Aerodrome.
TEAM KEN JONES AERODROME /AAJ was not to be outdone, their Labour Day Project focused on the well needed refur-
bishment of the Port Antonio Police Station. AAJ also made a cash donation to assist in the on going expansion works.
