1 IntroductionWelcome!! These instructions will help you setup your jDeveloper environment to connect to the AIA Foundation Packserver.
You will need to perform the following on your laptop: Add Server Addresses to your HOSTS file to access the AIA Foundation Pack and E-Business Suite servers Install pre-configured jDeveloper 11.1.1.2 for the workshop which contains
o Oracle SOA Composite Editor Extensiono AIA Service Constructor Extensiono Configuration (Application Server Connection/MDS Connection/Lifecycle Connection)o Workshop Application Workspace
2 Add Server Addresses to your HOSTS fi leTo access AIA Foundation Pack and E-Business Suite servers, we need to add entry to your laptop hosts file
1. Open theC:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file in Notepad.
Note: The file may be hidden when navigating via Windows Explorer.
2. Add the following line in the file. Replacing XXX.XXX.XXX with the actual IP address that the instructor will provideyou.
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX aia11g.localXXX.XXX.XXX.XXX ebs121-vm.us.oracle.com
3. Save the hosts file
4. Open your web browser and turn off your Web Browser Proxy
5. In the web browser, test connectivity with the following URL:
AIA Conso lehttp://aia11g.local:8001/AIA/faces/aiaHomeLogin.jspxLogin: weblogic/welcome1
Enterprise Managerhttp://aia11g.local:7001/emLogin: weblogic/welcome1
E-Business Suite

3 Install Pre-Configured jDeveloper for theWorkshop
You will need 3gb of disk space to install jDeveloper.
3.1 Install jDeveloperThe Instructor will provide a pre-configured jDeveloper for the workshop which includes the SOA and AIA extensionsinstalled.
1. Unzip aiawshop-jdev.zip to a SHORT PATHwith NO BLANK SPACES
For example: c:\oracle as shown in the below screenshot
2. Open the/jdev11g-wshop/mapTdrive.batfile in Notepad
3. Update the UNZIP_DIRvariable value with the path that you unzip aiawshop-jdev.zip
4. Save and Close the mapTdrive.batfile
5. Double click the mapTdrive.batfile to map the local folder to T Drive which will be created.

6. In Windows Explorer, you should see the newly created T drive which is pointing to you unzip folder
3.2 Start jDeveloper
Lets start jDeveloper now.
1. In Windows Explorer, navigate toT:\jdev11g-wshop and double click the start-jdeveloper.batto start jDeveloper.
2. If you are prompted for Configure File Type Association, checkmark all and click OK
3. When jDeveloper window opens you will see the Lab Application Workspace, and the pre-defined connections.
