What is AggieShip?
• Upcoming replacement of the FedEx System that UC Davis departments currently utilize for express shipments!
• UC Davis customers will be able to still use FedEx for shipping, but additional options of UPS and DHLwill also be available!
What is AggieShip?
• Hazardous and International Shipment Options will also be available!
• User will enter shipping information, and system will provide multiple shipping options, with the least expensive one(s) listed first!
• Target timeline for go-live is February 2019!

Excepted Quantities
What are Category B and Excepted Quantities?
Category B• Infectious substance that is not in a form
generally capable of causing permanent disability or life-threatening or fatal disease
Excepted Quantities• Weight specification. Dangerous goods in
excepted quantities prepared in accordance with IATA 2.6 or 49 CFR 173.4a are subject to regulations. The shipment of dangerous goods in Excepted Quantities requires a label.
AggieShip Access and Roles/Permissions
• Will be online system accessible with your Campus User ID and Kerberos passphrase
• Users who have not shipped before with FedEx application will be required to complete an online access request (approval from fiscal officer)
AggieShip Access and Roles/Permissions
• Default system permissions will allow users to generate shipping labels for domestic ground and express shipments of non-hazardous materials
• Hazardous materials and internationalshipping privileges will be granted once training requirements in the Learning Management System (LMS) have been completed
AggieShip Training Requirements
• Online training and periodic re-certifications required and managed via the campus UC Learning Center (“LMS”)
• International Shipments
• Must be prepared and screened in accordance with Federal Regulations
• Recipient, Institution, Country and Commodity screening is required

• The packaging and shipping of hazardous materials shipments is also restricted under Federal Regulations
• The functionality of this system is restricted to shipping dry ice, infectious substances Category B, and excepted quantities
