clarification noted below.
In preparing bids, the Bidder shall take into consideration the following items. Information shown herein supersedes
requirements issued under previous date.
Clarifications:
Mechanical Sheet Revisions:
M101 – The remote interface unit control panel for the new dehumidification unit was relocated to the roof
penthouse at the top of the roof access ladder.
Questions:
Question: There have apparently been patches where the existing Pool-Pak and Roof Curb meet.
How is this to be addressed?
Response: It will be the contractor’s responsibility to re-flash the top of the roof curb and insure the
integrity of the seal between the Roof Curb and New Pool-Pak.
Question: Does the existing Pool-Pak and associated Lines contain Glycol?
Response: No.
Question: Are there Isolation Valves? If so, where? Do they Operate?
Response: Yes, there are means by which to isolate the Pool Water Supply and Return as well as the
Hot Water Supply and Return. They are in the Pool Equipment and Mechanical Rooms in
the Basement. All operated the last time they were used.
Question: Sheet M101, Demo Plan Note #8 calls for the removal the existing temperature sensor,
wiring and conduit. How far back the existing conduit to be removed?
Response: Cut the existing conduit behind the Supply dust to provide an unobtrusive transition
between the older and new conduit, as it then extends to the new sensor location.
IFB 9740 (Addendum #1)
Question: May the existing conduit be reused?
Response: Other than the section of conduit and box being removed with the existing temperature
sensor. All other conduit is to remain. Removed conduit is to be discarded and not re-used.
Question: Where is the New Temperature Sensor to be located?
Response: Refer to Sheet M101, Plan Note #3.
Question: Is a Test and Balance Report required?
Response: As this is the specified unit is a direct replacement for the existing equipment, the
conventional Test and Balance Report will not be required.
