Abstract
The biographers of the "Seerat of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)"
have expressed their views and thoughts clearly and categorically
in the light of their wisdom and sagacity, in every era. Apart from
manifesting solemnity, reverence and extraordinary love to the
Holy prophet (PBUH), the task of compiling and composing the
"Seerat Books" was very gigantic and colossal but the writers of
the "Seerat" have done it very skillfully, successfully and carefully.
They have accomplished this task under minute research work.
This task is unparalleled, unique and peerless among the others
biographical literatures of the world. The biography of our Holy
prophet (PBUH) emerged as the crying need of the hour especially
in the field of religion, culture, civilization after the freedom
movement of 1857 in the sub-continent. The great and renowned
pioneers of the Indo-pak sub-continent named "Hali, Sir Syed,
Shibli, Mulla Wahidi, Azad, Manazar Ahsan Gilani and Naeem
Siddiqui presented the preaching and revolutionary aspect of our
Holy prophet (PBUH). However "Syed Maudoodi" in his own book
on "Seerat Sarwar-i-Alam" has presented Muhammad (PBUH) as

the greatest benefactor and lover of humanity. According to him,
our Holy prophet (PBUH) was very active, effective and
revolutionary in preaching, professing and practicing the teachings
and tenets of Islam. He says emphatically that the Holy Quran is
not only religious but also a mobilizing, motivating and inspiring
book which activates the people to do good deeds. In the same
way Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is also an inspiring and dynamic
leader of the universal movement. Syed Maudoodi in his book on
"Seerat-un-Nabi" has presented his views logically, literally and
practically in a very comprehensive manner on different
aspects.concepts and topics.
