What is a Doorstep Club?
• Committed project co-ordinator who has a strong vision for the club and understands the doorstep sport approach
• Makes links with other partners to engage the target market, promote sessions and support delivery
• Access training and workforce development support• Direct engagement methods via outreach work• Rewards regular attendance• Constantly monitors uptake and responds /adapts
What makes a good DSC?
The numbers• Participants - 60 per club• Regular participants – 15 -20 % = 10 -12 • 30% girls (across the programme)• 20% BME communities (across the programme)• 4% people with disabilities (across the programme)• 75% of DSC operating in partnership• 2500 learners in Doorstep sport training workshops
