Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is (only) Allâh," and thereafter stand firm and straight on the Islâmic Faith of Monotheism, on them
shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. Such shall be the dwellers of Paradise, abiding therein (forever) - a reward for what they used
to do. [46:13-14]
It befits not (the Majesty of) Allâh that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allâh, by saying that ‘Îsâ (Jesus) is the son of Allâh]. Glorified (and Exalted) be He (above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it: "Be!" - and it is. [19:35]
See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and We produce therewith fruits of
various colors, and among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colors and
(others) very black. And likewise of men and Ad-Dawâbb [moving
(living) creatures, beasts], and cattle, are of various colors. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty,
Oft-Forgiving. [35:27-28]
And thus We have sent to you (O Muhammad pbuh) (a Revelation, and a Mercy) of Our Command. You knew not what is the Book,
nor what is Faith? But We have made it (this Qur’ân) a light wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And
verily, you (O Muhammad pbuh)
are indeed guiding (mankind) to the
Straight Path. [42:52]
Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have
produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). An insight and a Reminder for every slave who turns to Allâh in repentance (i.e. the one who
believes in the Oneness of Allâh and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His
pardon). [50:6-8]
And those who invoke not any other ilâh (god) along with Allâh, nor kill such person as Allâh has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal
sexual intercourse - and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be
doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; Except those who
repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allâh will change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And whosoever repents and does
righteous good deeds; then verily, he repents towards Allâh with true repentance. [25:68-71]
Sin Through Repentance
Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not
then believe? And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We
placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided. And We have
made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds,
clouds, etc.). [21:30-32]
God’s Oneness
Say: "If the mankind and the jinn were
together to produce the like of this Qur’ân,
they could not produce the like thereof, even if
they helped one another." [17:88]
He Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold you kindle
therewith. Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth, Able to create the like of them? Yes,
indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme
Creator. [36:80-81]
When the heaven is cleft asunder. And when the stars have fallen and scattered. And when the seas are burst forth. And when the graves
are turned upside down (and bring out their contents)
(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind
(of good or bad deeds). [82:1-5]
is the Judgment Day
Have you not seen those who have been given a portion of the Scripture? They are being invited to
the Book of Allâh to settle their dispute, then a par-ty of them turn away, and they are averse.
This is because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a number of days." And that which they used to invent regarding their religion has deceived
them. [3:23-24]
(This is) a Book (the Qur’ân) which We have sent down to you,
full of blessings, that they may ponder over its Verses, and that
men of understanding may remember. [38:29]
Is it a wonder for mankind that We have sent Our Revelation to a man from among themselves
(i.e. Prophet Muhammad pbuh) (saying): "Warn mankind (of the coming torment in Hell), and give good news to those who believe (in the Oneness of
Allâh and in His Prophet Muhammad pbuh) that they shall have with their Lord the rewards of their
good deeds?" (But) the disbelievers say: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer (i.e. Prophet Muhammad
pbuh and the Qur’ân)! Surely, your Lord is Allâh Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all
things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allâh, your Lord; so
worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember? [10:2-3]
Say (O Muhammad PBUH) "Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will Say: "Will you
not then be afraid of Allâh’s punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allâh)?" Such is Allâh, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what
else can there be, save error? How then are you turned away? [10:31-32]
"Those whose lives the angels take while they are doing wrong to themselves (by disbelief and by
associating partners in worship with Allâh and by committing all kinds of crimes and evil deeds)." Then, they will make (false) submission (saying): "We used not to do any evil." (The angels will
reply): "Yes! Truly, Allâh is All-Knower of what you used to do.
"So enter the gates of Hell, to abide therein, and indeed, what an evil abode will be for the arrogant."
And (when) it is said to those who are the Muttaqûn (the pious) "What is it that your Lord has sent down?" They say: "That which is good."
For those who do good in this world, there is good, and the home of the Hereafter will be better. And excellent indeed will be the home (i.e. Paradise) of
the Muttaqûn (the pious). ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity) which they will enter, under which rivers flow, they will
have therein all that they wish. Thus Allâh rewards the Muttaqûn (the pious).[16:28-31]
This is the creation of Allâh. So show Me that which those (whom you worship)
besides Him have created. Nay, the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrongdoers
and those who do not believe in the Oneness of Allâh) are in plain error. [31:11]
Verily, Allâh enjoins Al-‘Adl (i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allâh Alone) and
Al-Ihsân [i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allâh, totally for Allâh’s sake and in accordance
with the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet pbuh in a perfect manner], and giving (help) to kith and kin and forbids Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e. all evil deeds, e.g.
illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, pol-ytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to
kill a life without right), and Al-Munkar (all that is prohibited by Islâmic law: polytheism of every kind, disbelief and every kind of evil deeds),
and Al-Baghy (i.e. all kinds of oppression). He admonishes you, that you may take heed. [16:90]
Those who remember Allâh (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and
the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You!
(Exalted are You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the
torment of the Fire. [3:191]
And what We have revealed to you
(O Muhammad pbuh), of the Book (the Qur’ân),
it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad pbuh) and your followers must act on its instructions], confirming that which
was (revealed) before it. Verily! Allâh is indeed
All-Aware, and All-Seer of His slaves.[ 35:31]
And has there come to you the story of Mûsâ (Moses)? When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand there from, or find some
guidance at the fire." And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by
name: "O Mûsâ (Moses)! "Verily I am your Lord! So take off your shoes; you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. "And I have chosen
you. So listen to that which will be revealed (to you). "Verily! I am Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I),
so worship Me, and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) for My Remembrance. [20:9-14]
And We send down of the Qur’ân that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe and it
increases the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss.
And when We bestow Our Grace on man (the disbeliever), he turns away and becomes arrogant
(far away from the Right Path). And when evil touches him, he is in great despair.
Say (O Muhammad pbuh to mankind): "Each one does according to Shakilatihi (i.e. his way or his
religion .), and your Lord knows best of him whose path (religion) is right." [17:82-84]
The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another;
they enjoin Al-Ma‘rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders
one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); they perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give
the Zakât, and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allâh is
All-Mighty, All-Wise. [9:71]
And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with
hardship. And she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty months, till when he attains full strength and
reaches forty years, he says: "My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favor which You have
bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as please You, and make my offspring good. Truly, I have turned to You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the
Muslims (submitting to Your Will)." [46:15]
Verily Allâh, with Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what
land he will die. Verily, Allâh is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things). [31:34]
(Remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection). "O ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam
(Mary)! Remember My Favor to you and to your mother when I supported you with Rûh-ul-
Qudus [Jibrîl (Gabriel)] so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I
taught you writing, Al-Hikmah (the power of understanding), the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel); and when you made out of the clay a figure like that of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My
Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you
brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) as you came unto
them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’"
[5:110]
Who is he that will lend to Allâh a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him
many times? And it is Allâh that decreas-es or increases (your provisions), and un-
to Him you shall return. [2:245]
"He is Allâh, (the) One. Allâh the Self-Sufficient
Master, Whom all creatures need, "He begets not, nor was He begotten. “And
there is nothing that could be compared with Him.”
[112:1-4]
is my Lord and your Lord
And those who, when they have committed Fâhishah (illegal sexual intercourse) or
wronged themselves with evil, remember Allâh and ask forgiveness for their sins; - and none can
forgive sins but Allâh - and do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know. For such,
the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds
according to Allâh’s Orders). [3:135-136]
And has the news of the litigants reached you? When they climbed over the wall into
(his) Mihrâb (a praying place or a private room); When they entered in upon Dâwûd (David), he was
terrified of them. They said: "Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other, therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.
Verily, this my brother (in religion) has ninety-nine ewes, while I have (only) one ewe, and he says:
"Hand it over to me, and he overpowered me in speech." (David) said (immediately without listening
to the opponent): "He has wronged you in demanding your ewe in addition to his ewes. And,
verily, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and they are few." And Dâwûd (David) guessed that We have tried him and he sought
Forgiveness of his Lord, and he fell down prostrate and turned (to Allâh) in repentance. [38:21-24]
One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: "I will bring it to you within the twinkling of
an eye!" Then when he [Sulaimân (Solomon)] saw it placed before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of
my Lord - to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his own self; and
whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only for the loss of his own self). Certainly my Lord is Rich
(Free of all needs), Bountiful." [27:40]
Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause
the growth of their trees. Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)! Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the
earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)? Is there
any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but most of them know not! Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the
distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Little is that
you remember!
Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is
there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? High Exalted be Allâh above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!
Is not He (better than your so-called gods) Who orig-inates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who pro-vides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Say: "Bring forth your proofs, if you are truth-
ful." [27:60-64]
The disbelievers pretend that they will never be resurrected (for the Account). Say
(O Muhammad pbuh) Yes! By my Lord, you will certainly be resurrected, then you will be informed of (and recompensed for) what you did; and that is
easy for Allâh. Therefore, believe in Allâh and His Messenger
(Muhammad pbuh )and in the Light (this Qur’ân) which We have sent down. And Allâh is
All-Aware of what you do. [ 64:7-8]
O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islâm), Allâh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him;
humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allâh, and never fear of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He wills. And
Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower. [5:54]
And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should
worship Me (Alone). I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves
or My creatures). Verily, Allâh is the All-Provider,
Owner of Power, the Most Strong. [51:56-58]
O Allah! Help me obey You,
help me remember You, help me be grateful to You,
and grant me an excellent ending. Ameen.
He is the Ever Living, Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He); so invoke Him
making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allâh’s sake on-
ly, and not to show off, and not setting up rivals with Him in worship). All the praises and thanks be
to Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists). [40:65]
And whatever you spend for spending (e.g., in Sadaqah -
charity for Allâh’s Cause) or whatever vow you make, be sure Allâh knows it all. And
for the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers) there are no
helpers. If you disclose your Sadaqât (alms-giving), it
is well; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, that is better for you.
(Allâh) will expiate you some of your sins. And Allâh is Well-Acquainted
with what you do. [2:270-271]
"concealing is the best for you"
‘And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allâh, after listening to this Qur’ân), and of us
some are Al-Qâsitûn (disbelievers - those who have deviated from the Right Path)’. And whosoever has embraced Islâm (i.e. has become a Muslim by sub-mitting to Allâh), then such have sought the Right
Path." And as for the Qâsitûn (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be
firewood for Hell, If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allâh, and
went on the Right Way (i.e. Islâm) We would surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance.
[72:14-16]
Say (O Muhammad pbuh) "Whether you hide what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allâh knows it, and
He knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. And Allâh is Able to do all things." On the
Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done,
he will wish that there were a great distance between him and his evil. And Allâh warns you
against Himself (His punishment) and Allâh is full of kindness to (His) slaves. [3:29-30]
is never lost
O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allâh, He will grant you Furqân [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for
you your sins, and forgive you; and Allâh is the Owner of the Great Bounty. [8:29]
And march forth in the way (which leads to)
forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared
for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious).
Those who spend (in Allâh’s Cause) in
prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon
men; verily, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).
[3:133-134]
Loves those who do good
Whosoever intercedes for a good cause will have the reward thereof,
and whosoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in its burden.
And Allâh is Ever All-Able to do (and also an All-Witness to)
everything. When you are greeted with a greeting,
greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally.
Certainly, Allâh is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things. [4:85-86]
with different results
And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We
drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed.
[7:57]
Worship Allâh and join none with Him (in worship); and do good to parents, kinsfolk,
orphans, Al-Masâkîn (the poor), the neighbor who is near of kin, the neighbor who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allâh does not like such as are proud and
boastful. [4:36]
And when it is said to them: "Come to what Allâh has revealed and unto the Messenger (Muhammad pbuh) for the verdict of that which you have made unlawful." They say: "Enough for us is that which we found our fathers following," even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever nor guidance. O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the (right) guidance [and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allâh, then He will inform you about
(all) that which you used to do. [5:104-105]
Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Here!
read my Record! "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!"
So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing.
In a lofty Paradise, The fruits in bunches
whereof will be low and near at hand.
Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent
on before you in days past! [69:19-24]
