It is a matter of great pleasure and honour indeed for us to welcome you all and invite you to the IX World Congress on Clinical,Preventive Cardiology & Imaging- 2014 (WCCPCI-2014) which is being organized by World Heart Academy( WHA) in associationwith International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, USA (ISCU), American Association of Cardiologists of Indian Origin, USA(AACIO), CSI Delhi Branch, Indian Academy of Echocardiography (IAE), Brahma Kumaris HQ (BK), World Wellness Foundation,(WWF), ASSOCHAM and SCOPE from Sept. 5-7, 2014 at Shantivan, Brahma Kumaris WHQ, Abu Road, Rajasthan, India. Over thepast decade there has been a virtual explosion of knowledge in the field of Clinical, Preventive, Cardiology, Echocardiography,Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery etc. The objective of this conference is to focus on
A mingle of scientific and spiritual perspective with special emphases on Non Invasive Imaging which may play an important role inidentifying these high risk individuals. The scientific programme will include sessions of tremendous clinical application with highacademic standards for internists, physicians, cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons,pediatric cardiologists and pediatric cardiac surgeons, cardiac anesthetists, etc. We express our gratitude to B.K. WHQ for theirenormous support in hosting this congress.
We are sure that the scientific programme and proceedings of the conference will evolve guidelines for several burning issues andnewer innovative technologies and will definitely help in crystallizing the guidelines, the recent trends and newer directions foradvanced patient care. There will be special emphasis on scientific sessions including recent advances in clinical cardiology,preventive cardiology, hypertension, congestive heart failure, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, cardiodiabetes,echocardiography, electrophysiology and cardiac arrhythmia, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and cardiacanesthesia. Shantivan is the biggest campus of Brahma Kumaris WHQ. Shantivan meaning Forest ofPeace is a unique centre, where people irrespective of age, caste or colour come together tostudy, practice meditation, and cultivate the human and ethical values required for buildinga Better world. The new Complex was in response to the ever-growing world-transformingactivities of the Brahma Kumaris through spiritual/scientific education and training. Itprovides an excellent venue for holding large conferences, spiritual congregations andretreats, and features modern means of communication, transport, extensive kitchen anddining facilities,welllaidout roads, electricity, and solarenergy etc.
Located just 6 Km. fromAbuRoad Railway station in the foot hill ofAravali.At the base ofMountAbu, just beforeAbu Road beginsits climbupMountAbu, lays, to the left of the road, amagnificent complex, the thirdBrahmaKumaris campus, Shantivan. It is spreadover 70 acres of land in the form of a well laid eco-friendly campus surrounded by a naturally lush green andmeditative environmentin the backdropofAravalli hills. It is a perfect location step away from the frantic pace of stress andanxiety andone feels the differenceinstantly, as if stepping into another world, a world of peaceful vibrations for reflection, contemplation and self-awareness thatnurtures and sustains the soul. It is at 3 hours distanceby road fromAhmadabadairport.
Themain attraction of Shantivan is its awe-inspiringlymassive Diamond Jubilee Hall, built incommemoration of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the institution. The structure issimple yet elegant it has the distinction of having a very high seating capacity. It canaccommodate about twenty thousandpeople.
Residential buildings in the complex have a capacity of lodging about Twenty thousand people . Some of them have very significantnames:Vardani Bhawan (The house of Blessings), VishwaKalyani Bhawan (theWorld BenefactorHouse) and Farishta Bhawan ( theHouse ofAngels) - tomention only a few. Shantivanhas very largekitchens anddininghallswithmoderngadgets and equipments.In addition to this gigantic structure, Shantivan has one main conference hall and eight smaller halls including the board room. Theseating capacity of the conference hall is 2000me with facility for simultaneous translation in six languages. Each of the smaller hallscanaccommodate six hundredpeople forconducting lectures, seminars,workshops, etc.There are twohallsmeant for intensemeditation anda spiritualmuseumwhich instantly inspire innerpeace and are a source of super-sensuous joy,which is nowhere tobe found in thismundaneworld.

The Shantivan complex includes a main conference hall and six smaller halls. Theseating capacity of the conference hall is twelve hundred and there is facility forsimultaneous translation in six languages. The smaller halls each accommodatesix hundred people and are suitable for lectures, seminars, workshops, etc. Thereare also two halls for meditation and a spiritual museum on this campus.Shantivan's residential buildings can lodge 15,000 guests.In addition to this gigantic structure, Shantivan has the largest parabolic solardevice in India, which provides steam heat for cooking; and, together with windenergy, provides electricity for computers, the telephone exchange and emergencylighting systems.
