There is an entry fee to the fortress and the cashier is by the restaurant before you walk down to the
fortress. Currently, the entry fee is 2 RON for adults and 5 RON for photos.
The fortress has been built from 1375-1391 by Petru Musat to defend the then Moldavian capital
Suceava from the Turks.During Steven the Great's reign defense towers were added and the walls were
heightened to 33 meters with a width of 4 meters. In the 17th century it withheld another Turkish attack

3.BUCOVINA VILLAGE MUSEUM
This open-air museum lies on the hill opposite the city center.
When you walk up the hill you first arrive at the Stefan cel Mare
monument. From there you can take the small path follwing the sign
if it's not wet and slippery. Otherwise just follow the road which will
take you right around the museum and lets you have enough peeks to
make up your mind about actually entering it.

4 . THE CENTRE
This is the city's main square. Here you find the culture palace,
pedestrian zones, the big Mc at the bottom across the B.-dul Ana
Ipatescu. The fountain on this square has blue coloured water. When
we were there, there was a folk music concert at night because of an
election campain. Since the weather was very unfriendly there were
not many people listening to it.
