IN THIS NEW AGE OF TECHNOLOGIES THE MOST IMPORTANTINFORMATION THAT HELPS ONE TO MAKE RIGHT DECISION ISSOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE PERCEIVED AND ANALYSED BY OURNATURAL SENSES. THAT INFORMATION IS THE DATA IN THE
DIGITAL FORM, AND IT IS AVAILABLE TO EVERY ONE THROUGHSOURCES LIKE INTERNET. THE SIXTH SENSE TECHNOLOGYCONCEPT IS AN EFFORT TO CONNECT THIS DATA IN THE DIGITAL
WORLD IN TO THE REAL WORLD!!!!

INTRODUCTION
y Sixth Sense is a wearable gestural interface that
augments the physical world around us with digital
information and lets us use natural hand gestures to
interact with that information.
y It was developed by Pranav Mistry, a PhD student in the
Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab.
y SixthSense bridges the gap by bringing intangible, digital
information out into the tangible world, and allowing us to
interact with this information via natural hand.

The sixth sense technology has a Web 4.0 view ofhuman and machine interactions.
The camera, mirror and projector is connected wirelesslyto a blue tooth smart phone device that can easily fit intothe users pocket. A software then processes the data
that is collected by the capturing device and producesanalysis. The software that is used in sixth sense device isopen source type. It captures the image of the object inview and track the users hand gesture. The camera
recognizes individuals, images, pictures, gestures thatuser makes with his hand. The camera then sends thisdata to a smart phone for processing. Basically the cameraforms a digital eye which connects to the world of digitalinformation

PROJECTOR
y The projector projects visual information enabling
surfaces and physical objects to be used as interfaces.
y The project itself contains a batter y inside, with 3
hours of battery life.
y A tiny LED projector displays data sent from the smart
phone on any surface in view object, wall, or person.

y The usage of the mirror is significant as the
projector dangles pointing downwards from the neck.
y A Web enabled smart phone in the users pocketprocesses the video data.
y Color markers are at the tip of the users fingers .
y Marking the users fingers with red, yellow, green,
and blue tape helps the webcam recognize gestures.

APPLICATIONSy You can use the Sixth Sense to
project a keypad onto your hand, then use that virtual keypad tomake a call. (You hold up your lefthand, fingers pointing to the right. The system recognizes that youwant to make a call, and projects adialing pad onto your fingers. You
tap the virtual keypad with yourright hand to dial the call.)

call upthe map of our choice and thenuse thumbsand index fingers to navigatethe map
Gaming application
This allows you to play games onany physical surface. For exampleif you project the game on thepaper , game can be controlled bythe movement of the paper.

Get product informationSixth Sense uses image recognition
or marker technology to recognizeproducts we pick up, then feeds us
information on those products.
You pick up a book and hold it in frontof you. You see, projected onto itscover, reader ratings and reviews.
