The Mary Kay Building became theCompany headquarters in earlyDecember 1995. Here are some fun factsabout the building and the 13th floor.The shell structure was built by a largesavings and loan corporation in themid-80’s. The interior was designed andfinished by Mary Kay Inc. The streetrunning under the building wasoriginally named Liberty Drive, but wasre-named Mary Kay Way. The Mary KayBuilding is 599,000 square feet and issituated on 34 acres of land. The westatrium is 170 feet high and has a volumeof 2,000,000 cubic feet. The number"13" was Mary Kay Ash’s lucky number.The Company was founded on Friday,September 13, 1963. And the Mary KayBuilding has 13 floors and 13 passengerelevators.
