3 Way Fescue Blend

Sow rate: 5 to 10 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft.

Water-Lessis a special blend of Turf Type TallFescue selected for superb color, texture, diseaseresistance and mow ability. Its deep root system en-ablesWater-Lessto tolerate drought and heat ex-ceptionally well. YourWater-Lesslawn will grow

beautifully, in sun or shade, allow you to mow closeand decrease your lawn maintenance. Best of all, you’ll use substantially less water to maintain therichness of a typicalWater-Lesslawn.

Planting your new Water-Less Lawn

1.Clear all trash and debris from planting area. Till your soil to a depth of 4 to 6 inches, adding a balanced lawn fertilizer at the recommended rate. Level the ground

2. Grade to drain water away from buildings. Roll lightly.3. Rake lightly to form small furrows.4. Mix seed thoroughly at 5 to 10 pounds per 1000 square foot. Sow by hand or with a seeder. Rake

lightly at right angles, to your furrow to thinly cover seed.5. Cover your prepared seedbed with a thin cover (no more than ¼ inch) of peat moss or weed free

humus. Roll.6. Water three to four times daily to keep soil moist at all times. Use a fine spray and don’t let water

puddle. After your newWater-Lesslawn is established, follow normal watering procedures.

Re seeding an established lawnMow your lawn as short as possible. Rake thoroughly to expose soil, removing any debris or dead grass.Sow seed and cover with no more than ¼ inch of peat moss or weed-free humus. Roll. Use a fine spray tokeep moist until new seeds are established, then resume normal watering procedures.
