THE LIGHTER SIDE
The Roller Coaster Stairway to Nowhere
Be careful not to tumble your way down, who knows where you’ll be end-ing up.
In the Ruhr area of Germany is where you will find a remarkable structure that virtually leads you nowhere. At Angerpark in the town of Duisburg, is where the coolest staircase in the world can be found. During the night, the entire structure is lit with LED lights too so imagine that to be an awesome sight to behold. Duisburg being a major producer of steel, zinc and hot metal products, it is one of the first places in Germany where the industrial revolution took place. Hence, the structure in itself is produced from local steel and zinc, it rests upon a landfill of industrial waste which used to be the home of Germany’s largest zinc smelter in the 1900’s to the late 2000’s. www.travel.spotcoolstuff.com
At nightfall, the rails of the staircase are lit up with LED lights to make sure you wont fall over off to nowhere!

five o’clock, it is time to wind down

preparation for the long night ahead.
Expect Friday traffic especially in
Makati, since everyone wants to have
a last hurrah as the weekend begins.
Makati being the CBD of Manila, has
the best yet subdued resto bars that
serve great food and beverages to
top your Friday night out experience.
Along Dela Costa St. in Makati is where you can
find Alexa’s Deli, a cozy and quiet café and
wine bar for small group of friends or couples
who just want to chat and catch up, it has after
all a very relaxing atmosphere. They serve wine
that best goes with their delicious pasta dishes
and deli sandwiches in average proportions
that are not pricey for a very exclusive vibe of
the restaurant. Alexa’s Deli is the perfect place
for those who want a peaceful atmosphere,
seemingly far away from the hustle and bustle
of Makati on a typical Friday night.
