• Launching regular presentations at Ph2 MB• Staring point: Inventory of all procurements
In today’s report past procurements are not yet included: only ongoing or planned The inventory of ongoing or planned procurements is most likely incomplete You may help: if you know about a procurement not listed in following slides,
please inform me! I will follow up
• TK RM main task about procurements: taking care of those involving more than one Institute, thus requiring a common organization: Dedicated Tracker Ph2 Team Account: T630110
Collect contributions from Institutes (via Invoice or TID)
Orders from CERN (via DAI or TID) • But I may also:
• Organize money transfers between Institutes via their Team Accounts at CERN• Include in reports accounting of procurements dealt with directly at Institutes
Provided info is supplied to me….

Procurement was: Requested by Maurice Garcia-Sciveres who organized 2 parallel orders, for ATLAS and
CMS, respectively CMS participation fostered, at the time, by Daniela Bortoletto
• There was a worrisome small number of customers until a few months ago• Then thanks to e.g. Marco Meschini customers have been identified for 16 / 20 wafers:
1. Alexandra Junkes, Hamburg University, 2 wafers
2. Duccio Abbaneo, CERN, 2 wafers
3. Ivan Vila, IFCA Santander, 1 wafer
4. Marco Meschini (CMS-Italy): 3 wafers
5. Giovanni Calderini (ATLAS-France): 8 wafers• An initiative to thin to 450 μm and bump some of these wafers was launched by Maurice in
Mar 2015 (cost ~1.5 k€/wafer) and was requested for 4 out of the 16 allocated wafers:
1 for CERN
1 for Hamburg
1 for Marco Meschini
1 for Giovanni Calderini
• 4 wafers are still unallocated: please buy them!
FE-I4: History
25 Jun 2015TK Ph2 MB 13 Salvatore Costa - Catania
• The 4 wafers to be thinned and bumped are presently at IZM. IZM run…• …charged to: CERN Budget Code 34033
• The other 16 (including the 4 unsold) are held by Maurice in a common stock and gradually electrically tested. When groups who own wafers need some, he supplies them from the probed wafers and then deducts them from the number they own.
• The information of all the wafers, including their physical location is at:http://icwiki.physik.uni-bonn.de/twiki/bin/view/Systems/USBpixTables#FE_I4B_Wafer_for_Upgrade_RD
• The action list for the TK RM now is:1. Inform the final customers that wafers have been delivered and invite them to
contact Maurice to get them
2. Bill these customers, independently of them having been actually picked up, at 60’091 / 20= 3’004.55 CHF/wafer
3. Get precise info about cost of thinning/bumping run at IZM
4. Additionally bill customers of the 4 wafers processed that way and reimburse CERN when applicable

Preamble: email sent to Ph2 MB on 02 Apr 2015
Dear Colleagues,at the last TK Ph2 MB the following plan presented by Duccio for MaPSA-light assembly prototyping by 3 companies was approved:AEMTEC: 22.260 €NOVAPACK: 20.850 €LETI: 49.000 €Total cost 92.000 €The orders to AEMTEC and LETI and have already been submitted, using for the moment a CERN budget code.
This is a reminder that we welcome contributions to these orders, to the upcoming one to NOVOPACK, as well as to the already-ordered two additional wafers (200 chips) that were in stock at the IMEC, for a cost of 18,660 CHF, also exclusively paid using a CERN budget code for now.
So far no voluntary contributions have been proposed to me.Salvatore
Still no contributions have been offered so far!
