INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS
FOR COLUMBIAN
YEAR 2018—2019
2 GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE AUGUST 2018
Dear Brother Knights,
We started off our Columbian year by serving Hot Dogs to the VBS kids and families which
was successful and appreciated by all . We also had our installa#on of officers ceremony on
July 24th conducted by newly appointed District Deputy Naz Leblanc as well as our chaplain
Father Miguel Hernandez and past District Deputy Terry Gibbons. This event was a/ended
by the Knights and their family members. We followed the ceremony with a dessert pot luck which was
delicious and a big hit for all that a/ended.
We have many important events coming up throughout the year and we are calling all Knights to help.
Our council is strong, strong in unity, strong in faith, strong in charity. We are also strong in ac#on and
would like to challenge all of our Brother Knights to get involved and take ac#on. I am challenging all of
you to step up and help with an event or even chair an event if you have the #me. I realize we are all
busy but many hands reduce many tasks.
We have kind of a quiet August as we close the summer months.
Events for August:
8/14 – Council Business Mee#ng. 7:00pm (Hall A&K)
8/18 – Knight to Remember. St Joseph’s (Hall A&K) 5pm-9pm
8/26 – Pro-Life Rosary vigil. Meet at the Monument of the Unborn at 8:35am (A<er 7:15 mass)
8/28 – Council Membership Mee#ng. 7:00pm (Hall A&K)
I want to note the 8/28 Council Membership mee#ng. I think it is important for all of you to a/end a
membership mee#ng once a month. There is no be/er way to start geCng involved than to a/end this
monthly mee#ng. Please try and a/end. This mee#ng is on the 4th
Tuesday of the month from 7:00pm
to 8:00pm in the hall. We try to keep it under an hour. I hope to see you all there.
Your Humble Servant in Christ,
GK Ken Eazell

BUSY WITH LIFE’S LITTLE THINGS
Hi Brothers and Family, This time of year is a good time to have me, your field agent, do a review of all your life
policies and financial products you have that protect your family. We will discuss all policies you have with us and with other companies. This will insure in
case something happens to you, that your family will be OK and can continue the life that
you had planned for them while you were here. The worst thing a death in the family could do besides loosing you, is to not have enough
Insurance coverage to protect the family for the long haul. We get so busy with life's little things we forget the big picture. Death! Let the Knights of Columbus be there for you and have me come out to your home today! The review process only takes a few minutes out of your busy lives, but provides a clear
picture to any gaps you might have in your Insurance/financial portfolio. I urge you to call me today and make sure your totally prepared for any dangers that lie out
there. Please contact me at the numbers below. I am ready to help you in any way and this a total-
ly free service granted under your fraternal benefits. KEVIN J. GARZA FICF KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
