Junior Fire Academy

This program will introduce children to the work of a firefighter and develop the skills of team-
work, time management and responsibility. The camp is designed to be fun and educational. Atten-
dees will participate in short classroom sessions, and complete multiple hands-on activities and
field assignments to fire service facilities. All attendees will be provided with a fire department T-
shirt, hat and all required materials and safety equipment. Water, snacks and refreshments will be
provided.

Students will get on stage immediately and explore basic acting and musical tech-
niques. The week will include Stage Movement, Vocal Projection, Character Study and
Improvisational Games. The children will participate in the creation and staging of
an original show that they themselves create! The students will present their show
for family and friends on the last day.

PROPER DRESS
Dress warmly in loose, layered clothing that
allows full freedom of movement. Gloves are
recommended for both warmth and protec-
tion from falls.
HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL
CHILDREN 17 AND UNDER. Wear one
pair of socks and properly fitting skates.
Tighten your laces snugly at the toe, tightly

snug again at the top of the skate.
