1939-1945 Chloe Hurley and Hugh Nicholson World War 2 started
when Germany invaded Poland. The axis powers= Germany, Japan, Italy
and other countries. Allies= Britain, France, The Soviet Union and
the USA. The D-Day took place on Sword Beach. FACTS In 1939 most
men wore hats when they Went out. Schoolboys wore caps. Teachers
sent letters home telling parents What to pack for evacuees:
washing things, Clean clothes, strong walking shoes and a favourite
book.

Germany for all of World War 2. A lot of people did not like his
ways. German tanks rolled across Europe. The Polish army were among
the first to experience The devastating power of the BLITZKRIEG.
Blitzkrieg means lighting war.

Anne Frank Many children and their parents were invaded by
Germans. They were all killled for being Jewish. Anne Frank is
famous for her diary. Her diary is a diary of World War 2.

supposed to get bombed, but they did. This was known as the
Emergency. A lot of food was rationed in World War 2. The foods
that was rationed was tea and suger.
