For three and a half weeks, at 10
venues across the city and suburbs,
over 100 independent artists will
present 100 performances that
represent the diversity of the cabaret
genre. From Joni Mitchell to Sinatra,
from Paris to Rio, from the magic of
circus to just plain magic, there’s
something for everyone at Cabaret
Fringe.
A big thank you goes out to the
wonderful venues and their staff,
and to the volunteers, families and
friends, who provide the support
that allows our artists to do what they
do best.
Now... let’s CABARET!
Eugene Suleau
Cabaret Fringe Festival Co-ordinator
Here it is June again... and that means
Cabaret Fringe time in Adelaide.
This year we celebrate the ninth edition
of Cab Fringe with La Boheme as its
base, and over that time, the festival
has earned a place on Adelaide’s arts
calendar. It provides an ideal alternative
for audiences looking to discover
some fresh new talent. It’s accessible,
affordable and a whole lot of fun!
For artists, Cabaret Fringe is a chance
to get their work seen. It’s a chance to
craft new stories, write new songs, or
pay homage to a star of the past. It’s
a chance to play in one of Adelaide’s
boutique venues to audiences who want
to laugh, or cry, or to sing along with
their favourite songs. It’s a chance for
everyone to share in some good times.
This year will be no exception, with a
number of local and interstate acts
appearing for the first time.
Welcome
