£10 billion worth of charitable donations are made in the UK each year. Of these, the vast majority goes to large charities with over £5 million of annual income – despite accounting for just over 1% of all charities across the country, these largest charities consume 72% of donations.
To shine some well-deserved light onto the smaller charities that are so often forgotten and overlooked, Givey presents its 10 to 1 infographic. Here we show how for everyone one large charity the public has heard of, there are ten smaller ones doing fantastic work that people are likely not even aware of.

- Through groundbreaking research, Kidscan is striving to change the fact that cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the UK - A new drug designed and synthesised by University of Salford scientists supported by Kidscan has helped to discover a way of allowing healthy cells to take charge of cancerous cells and stop them developing into tumors
