landscaped acres in the mid-size town of Kent, Ohio (population 28,000), surrounded by the major metropolitan areas of Cleveland, Akron, Canton and Youngstown.

Living on Campus • On the Kent Campus, more than 6,500 students
live in 25 residence halls. All are coed either by floor or wing.

Scholarships and Financial Aid • Students are encouraged to complete the
early FAFSA beginning Oct. 1, 2016. • To be considered for freshman scholarships,
incoming freshmen must submit a complete admissions application by Jan. 15, 2017.
• To ensure maximum financial aid eligibility, complete the FAFSA no later than Feb. 1.

awarded to admitted freshmen last year. • More than 93 percent of Kent State’s freshmen

Admissions Policy • Freshman admission at the Kent Campus is selective. • Admission decisions are based on the following:
cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends.
